Have you ever been to Vietnam? And did you ever miss the rich flavours of their kitchen when you were back home? We most certainly did. But, not anymore! We recently discovered Vietnamese bistro Bo Nam in the Amsterdam Centre and were veeeeerrrry amazed by their dishes. You will find this restaurant in one of the most busy streets of Amsterdam, near the Leidseplein. We were welcomed with a big Tiger beer neon light (we love neon lights) and enthusiastic staff dressed in their own urban Bo Nam street wear. They pay attention to details and we like that!
So how about the food? Was it any good? Yes, yes, yes it was! We had a wonderful four course menu which instantly took us back to the fields of Sa Pa, the street food of Hanoi and the fragrances of Saigon. We had rice paper spring rolls with hoisin duck and fried spring rolls with chicken and prawns. But also a wonderful beef stew with ginger and steamed salmon in banana leaf. It took us back to those warm days in Vietnam. So for a warm and hearty Vietnamese experience, go visit Bo Nam!
You can visit this restaurant at the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 57 in Amsterdam.
