For anyone who’s gonna pop some tags in an Amsterdam thrift shop, it might come in handy to know where to go. Fortunately we have a lot of great thrift shops in the Venice of the North and we’d love to share them with you. Enjoy hunting for the most beautiful treasures, fashion finds and – if you have plenty of space in your suitcase – some furniture. Already fan of a certain thrift shop? Let us know in the comments.
Marbles Vintage – If you’re hunting for the best vintage fashion, make sure to stop at this thrift shop. You can find them at three different locations in the city, but we specifically like the one at Ferdinand Bolstraat 28, Amsterdam.
Episode – This shop is probably the most known of all in Amsterdam. If you happen to be in Utrecht, you will find an Episode store over there as well. There are four Episodes in Amsterdam. Our favourite is situated at Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 37H, Amsterdam.
Thrift Shop – There’s no doubt that you’ll find some beautiful (designer) fashion vintage over here. Definitely worth a visit! – Albert Cuypstraat 187, Amsterdam.
Zipper – For a unique combination between contemporary fashion and vintage you have to visit Zipper. This tiny shop in the Nine Streets is also a recommended shop for any fan of the fifties until the eighties. – Huidenstraat 7, Amsterdam.
Laura Dols – Ever wondered what vintage wedding dresses look like? Go and visit this thrift shop. You’ll also find beautiful vintage accessories and other amazing dresses over here. – Wolvenstraat 7, Amsterdam.
IJ-hallen – If you want a true local experience you should definitely visit this flee market. It is not really a thrift shop but just one big thrift market (the biggest of Europe). – T.T. Nevaritaweg 15, Amsterdam.
